Our Prestigious Three-Star Food Made Good Rating

As part of Heartwood Collection, we at The Old Crown are proud to hold the three-star Food Made Good rating from The Sustainable Restaurant Association (The SRA) which is the highest possible score.

Our Sustainable Suppliers

We work with the seasons, ensuring ingredients are served when they’re at their freshest and most flavourful. Our chefs hand-pick the best seasonal produce to feature on our à la carte menu.

Meat

All our meat comes from award-winning butchers Aubrey Allen, suppliers to the royal household. Their free-range herds of Cornish heritage cattle are impeccably cared for and our steaks are 30-day dry-aged for exceptional flavour. Our pork and lamb are also sourced to the highest welfare standards.

Fish

We only serve sustainable, seasonal fish, working with Direct Seafood to ensure ethical sourcing. All fish on our menu is currently rated 1-3 by the Marine Stewardship Council’s Good Fish Guide.

Vegetables

Our head chefs collaborate with local suppliers to source the finest seasonal vegetables, all Red Tractor accredited for quality and provenance.

Other Ingredients

We proudly serve Fairtrade coffee and sugar, Rainforest Alliance tea and chocolate and work with Certified B Corp producers such as Jude’s ice cream and illy coffee.
