What a day! The sun was shining, The Bilberries were acoustic tunes were filling the air, and there were queues of local dignitaries, businesses, and neighbours out the door as we welcomed our very first guests, it really was a celebration to remember.

After a warm welcome and speech from our CEO, Richard Ferrier, guests gathered in our beautiful new landscaped garden for a prosecco toast before Simon Edge, Chair of the Bookham Residents Association, led the all-important ribbon-cutting. And of course, no pub opening would be complete without pulling the very first pint, Shere Drop from our friends over at Surrey Hills Brewery.

A huge well done to General Manager Lukas, Head Chef Sorin, and the entire team for pulling off such a brilliant launch, and an even bigger thank you to the Bookham community for welcoming us with open arms. Here’s to many more sunny afternoons and shared memories here at The Old Crown!
